About us

UBI Banca - Unione di Banche Italiane Scpa - was created on the 1st of April 2007 from the merger between BPU - Banche Popolari Unite and Banca Lombarda e Piemontese. UBI Banca is a cooperative Group, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE/MIB index (ISIN IT0003487029).

The Group, mainly domestic, has a multiregional coverage with over 1,950 branches, of which approximately 900 in Lombardy and over 220 in Piedmont, and a significant presence in the most dynamic regions of Central Italy and in Southern Italy. Furthermore the Group has an International Network mainly driven by customer needs.

UBI Banca is organised on the basis of a poly-functional, federal and integrated model. Its structure includes : the Parent Company - UBI Banca - performing  centralised functions of governance, control, coordination and support, nine Network Banks, in charge of the relationship with the historical reference territories, and a wide range of Product Companies.

The Group is mainly Retail but has a traditional presence in the sector of medium and small enterprises and a private banking activity which places the Group among the top players in the Italian market.

UBI Banca has adopted a dual system of governance consisting of a Supervisory Board and a Management Board.
